5 Min Activity To Improve Your Prospecting Effectiveness

If you want to become more effective at getting referrals AND save yourself time, this article is for you.

I'm going to share a quick activity (<5 minutes) that will help increase your effectiveness at prospecting.

First, write down the top 6 ways you get leads.

If you have less than 6, that's ok -- just write UP to 6 ways.

Example:

  1. Ask organically in the FactFinder
  2. Ask with a Feeds List in the Close
  3. LinkedIn
  4. Networking Events
  5. Networking Groups (like BNI)
  6. Cold Calling

Now look at those 6 ways and cross off the 4 that either stress you TF out or are ineffective (kudos if they’re both).

The two strategies left should be the MAIN ways you generate leads.

Immediately stop doing the 4 that you crossed out (they should be the hardest / most stressful / least effective)

Next, answer the following question: What is ONE THING I can do to improve the effectiveness of each of these?

For the next 4 weeks, commit to the following:

  1. ONLY focus on these two activities
  2. Focus on the one thing you can do to improve the effectiveness of each.

Boom, you’ve just reduced your workload, improved your effectiveness, and created laser focus and clarity.
